Tarikoplata

akaLeg Assisted Kimura
1 / 5
/Overview

The Tarikoplata, named after its creator Tarik Hopstock, is a kimura variation that uses the attacker's leg to add leverage. When applying a kimura from the guard, the attacker brings their leg over the opponent's shoulder and onto their own wrist. This creates an incredibly strong frame, making it easier to break the opponent's defensive grip and apply finishing pressure to the shoulder lock.
