Mounted Triangle Choke

1 / 4
/Overview

The Mounted Triangle is a devastating submission in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, applying the principles of the triangle choke (sankaku jime) from the dominant mount position. The attacker isolates one of the defender's arms and then brings their leg over the corresponding shoulder, locking a figure-four around the opponent's head and arm. The combination of leg pressure and the attacker's body weight from the mount creates an incredibly powerful blood choke that is extremely difficult to escape. This position is a high-percentage finish that also sets up secondary attacks like armbars.
