The Crab Ride is a dynamic control position used to attack the opponent's back. The attacker positions themselves on the opponent's hip, typically from turtle or a scramble, using hooks and grips to control the opponent's movement. This off-balancing position allows the attacker to transition to the back mount, set up submissions like the twister, or force reactions that lead to other dominant positions. It is a staple of modern no-gi grappling.
