The Truck is a specialized positional control system, primarily associated with the 10th Planet Jiu-Jitsu system, though utilized more broadly now. It's typically entered when an opponent turtles or turns away, often during scrambles or transitions. The attacker isolates and controls one of the opponent's legs (usually with a leg hook or figure-four) while frequently securing the other ankle or foot across the body. This unique, often perpendicular body positioning severely restricts the opponent's hip movement, creating a stable platform primarily used to set up specific submissions like the Twister (spinal lock), calf slicers, or the Banana Split groin stretch. It's essentially a gateway to these potent, albeit sometimes restricted, attacks.
