The Side Crucifix is a dominant control position where the attacker, positioned at the opponent's side, traps one of the opponent's arms with their legs and the other arm with their own arms. This leaves the opponent in a 'crucified' state, unable to defend with their hands. This position is a gateway to high-percentage submissions, particularly chokes like the reverse triangle.
