The Peruvian necktie is a unique neck-targeting submission that combines a front headlock variation, similar to a guillotine, with a specific positioning twist. From a front headlock position, your main arm should be under and across the opponent's throat. Pull the opponent towards your upper body, tightening your grip on their neck. Then, roll or drop down while maintaining the neck grip. Use your free leg to lock or control the opponent's legs, further securing the tightness of the choke. This maneuver significantly reduces the opponent's air intake, quickly and efficiently causing a submission. The Peruvian Necktie may also be considered an arm triangle variation, in particular against the guillotine, rather than a guillotine variation.
