Bow And Arrow Choke

1 / 3
/Overview

The bow and arrow choke is a powerful gi choke that simulates the tension of a drawn bow by using the opponent's lapel and leg. Typically started from the guard, it involves securing a grip on the opponent's opposite lapel and pulling it down towards their neck. Simultaneously, you control their posture and far leg to prevent them from escaping. The choke is applied by using your body to create a bow-like shape, pulling the lapel tightly across their throat and carotid arteries. The combination of lower body control and upper body tension creates a very effective and fast submission if executed correctly.
