Beginner Boxing Combos # 1 - The 1 2 3 2
Notes
Jab + cross details
- step with the jab, rotate the fist over at the end, snap it back faster than you threw it
- cross: rear heel turns, hip drives forward, chin stays tucked behind the lead shoulder
Hook details
- elbow lifts to 90 degrees, fist and forearm move as one piece
- turn the lead foot as you throw (squash the bug)
- the right hand stays glued to your chin while the hook travels
1-2-3-2 — Jab, cross, lead hook, cross. A classic four-punch combo: the jab measures distance, the cross brings power, the hook catches them coming back to center, and the second cross finishes as their guard shifts. Great for practicing weight transfer — your hips rotate side to side with each punch.
