Tsukkomi Jime, translated as 'Thrust Choke,' is a choking technique that involves using a sudden, forceful thrusting motion with the hand or forearm to compress the opponent's trachea or carotid arteries. Unlike other chokes that rely on a gradual squeezing pressure, Tsukkomi Jime aims to create a rapid constriction of the airway or blood vessels, causing a quick submission or unconsciousness. To perform Tsukkomi Jime, establish a grip on the opponent's collar or upper body. Use your other hand to deliver a sharp, thrusting strike to the opponent's throat, targeting either the trachea or the sides of the neck where the carotid arteries are located. The thrust can be performed with the edge of the hand, the knuckles, or the forearm, depending on the specific variation and the position of the opponent. The effectiveness of Tsukkomi Jime relies on the speed and precision of the thrust, as well as the ability to catch the opponent off guard. The nature of this technique makes it potentially very dangerous.
