The Trap Triangle position serves a good set-up strategy where it acts like its more common 'Triangle guard' variation. This positional method applies enhanced control when used, and instead focuses that application and focus using multiple points by controlling and locking off an arm or upper area with combined legs for higher positional advantages. From a guard start and as a method, begin transitioning from standard triangle to apply both an opponent's head to be in tight neck position to create that traditional 'triangle lock', before starting the added trap of also moving an opposing user's arm through to lock the one single arm position along and to prevent a strong base while removing that arms defense when using their hands while preventing movement using your limbs, whilst this positional security will make them weaker your control with the new lock means sweeps or attack are very useful now with little movement on a set opponent whilst providing far more unique entrances or methods using your dominant trap.
