The Leg Drag Pass is a versatile and highly effective guard passing technique in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. The passer controls one of the opponent's legs (typically by the ankle or pants cuff) and forcefully pulls or "drags" it across the opponent's centerline towards the opposite side of their body. This action pins the dragged leg and fundamentally misaligns the opponent's hips, severely hindering their ability to retain guard or mount a defense. While maintaining control of the dragged leg, the passer typically blocks the opponent's other leg and uses upper body control (like shoulder pressure) to solidify the position and advance into side control, often achieving a strong angular advantage.
